I was browsing through a few OLD family yearbooks at my parent’s home and look what I found. This photo is fabulous evidence of the classic and enduring style of the spectator pump – couldn’t get better proof than this! Love it when that happens.
And, the rest of her outfit is pretty spectacular, too – reminds me of lots of things in my closet . . . . .

Today, on a more-or-less routine survey, I had wonderful good fortune. I’m just about to re-examine and photograph my newest acquisitions and get them ready to post on the blog. Because I have already scheduled postings for the next three days, expect to begin seeing these on Sunday, Nov. 13.

A kind-of unusual-looking style, don’t you think? These need a polish and a little cleaning, but they’re in excellent condition. Leather pumps by “Diana” – rather high cut on the vamp. They remind me of what I see teachers wearing in old photos.
Investigating across the world is challenging, exciting and always intriguing. One thing that was fun in Australia is that several of the things I found are familiar, but still a bit different from what I discover in the U.S. and Canada. Their own brands and, maybe, some other foreign influences have given the styles a unique twist.
As always, you just never know . . .

Spectator style, black and white – always classic, always right.
A pair of, low-heeled classic quasi-spectator-style Mod pumps. Black and white is always “in”, and is always de la mode. Very practical for any Sixties – era outfit. You can also dance the night away in comfort.
This pair is by the famous maker Florsheim, a quality name for decades. Looks great Spring, Summer or Fall. Probably in Winter, too. A classic’s a classic, right?
