A MEN’S TRUE VINTAGE 1950’S – EARLY ’60’S WOOL CARDIGAN WITH CONTRASTING TRIM

A MEN'S TRUE VINTAGE 1950'S - EARLY '60'S WOOL CARDIGAN WITH CONTRASTING TRIM

Sticking with men’s fashion, we’re still in the ’50’s/’60’s era when cardigan sweaters were a big thing for both sexes. This one’s a very nice, heavy button-front knit for cold weather, with sculpted metal buttons, little pockets at the hips and smart-looking trim.

A favorite for Dad or Grandpa while they watched sports on TV. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

TRUE VINTAGE 1960'S - '70'S POLYESTER SHIRTS

Seventies shirts are always fun – polyester holds colors so vibrantly and the ’60’s & ’70’s were a time for great prints and designs.  Some of the graphics were kind of ugly, too, but that’s part of what makes them so fun to wear.  And some are really cute!

They’re good in cooler weather, but not for summer!  Polyester was one of the “miracle fabrics” in some ways, but it has its limitations.

These are recent finds which I have added to my everyday closet. Not haute couture by any means, but I enjoy these easy wear/easy care items. However, no matter how “ordinary”, never mistreat your vintage treasures!   I still care for them as if they were gold . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Ho – hum, gloves . . . . .? Not these. There is nothing more stylish and luxurious than a beautiful pair of kid-skin gloves, while they also protect your hands.

Beautifully-made and elegant in lines, many that I have found have no decoration – many have small subtle designs near the wrist. Some, like the beige pair, have decorated panels of crochet or contrasting leather. The variations are endless. I’ll be showing more of them . . . . .

These gloves are not meant for really cold weather, but they’re great for what we’re into now. If looked after, they’ll last a long time.

Don’t wear these if you have a dirty job ahead, but for something more delicate and when you’d rather not leave fingerprints . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. .

We can still look bright and sunny while staying warm and toasty as the temperatures are dropping. Chenille, quilting and fashionable style kept women feeling chic and comfortable.

There’s nothing nicer than feeling warm and snug when the wind is blowing outside and leaves are falling. Gray clouds and brown leaves don’t have to darken our moods, however . . . . . ..

Just wrap yourself up in one of these, listen to some upbeat music or read about some good news while your sip your coffee/tea – 1 , 2 , 3 abacadabra! . . . . . . . .. . .
