Now that we’re beginning to feel like getting out of sweaters and wool . . . . . . . Whether you’re clubbing or out for a very elegant dinner, this beautiful beaded shell would steal the show. Bead decoration was still done beautifully in the late ’50’s- early ’60’s.
Not the same as beading in the 1920’s and earlier, but equally nice. Dance the night away . .. . . . . . . . . . . .

FOR WHITE NIGHTS – 1950′S BEADED EVENING SHELL BLOUSE – Magicvintagespy
Maybe I missed the decade, but it makes me think of being a child in the 60’s, and watching in awe as Dianna Ross, or other entertainers sparkled on the TV screen with their beaded gowns. Lovely.

Yes, it’s possible that this shell is from the very early 1960’s. Most styles seem to slop over a little from decade to decade, in my experience. Only with certain very specific things or with diligent research can you really pinpoint the year.
