
I did show this nightgown once before, but since discovered the bed jacket, also by the same maker. You can see that she used some of the same designs on many of her items.
The ribbon trim woven into borders seems to be a trademark feature. The bed jacket was sold at Saks Fifth Avenue, as their label is also inside.
Specialty clothing like this is just another rung up the ladder of luxury in vintage-wear. Although the Odette Barsa company continued to be run by her children until the mid 1980’s, I’m sure that these garments pre-date that time.
