These shoes are so unusual! I believe that they were made for dancing at a performance level because of the soft leather soles. Something worn by a modern dancer in the 1940’s or 1950’s, perhaps.
Made by Capezio, which made dance shoes and street shoes for many years, since the 1800s. I’ve never seen a pair like this before or since. Maybe worn by an elf . . . . . . . . .

SOME OF MY CUTEST LITTLE TRUE VINTAGE FLATS – AND A VERY RARE FIND! – Magicvintagespy
These were my favorite shoes in 1963 (I believe). I had that exact beige pair, and an identical pair in red. They cost $11 at the time, and we’re the softest leather ever. I loved them!

Your comment is so wonderful! Thank you. I love hearing from others who treasure these fashions and who have stories to tell. Wish they still made them today, but then, I still manage to find some beauties . . . . . . . . .

Most comfortable shoes ever. Wish someone would start making them again.

Thanks for your comments. Love hearing from people who have personal experience with my treasures. I also miss beautifully-designed footwear and other fashions that lasted and lasted and is hardly made now. It’s great to know that some of it is still out there . . . . . . . . . . . .

I’m not a dancer, but at 16 I had three or four pairs. Blue, Red, Black and Brown. They were so comfortable.
