Okay. The quintessential summer Fourth of July holiday and truly stinky-hot days have propelled me into the mood to show many of my original vintage fashions for the hottest weather. Will try to schedule at least one every day. Stay tuned for this long series . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Today’s post is my last one in the current series. Too much going on recently to do any investigating. But, you know that when I do make “new” discoveries, you’ll be the first to see them.
Have a wonderful holiday weekend. I will be taking moments to be grateful for our system of Democracy and all of the benefits that it brings to our lives. It’s a work in progress and quite flawed in some ways, but gives us a way forward. This time is vibrant and full of hope as many things at home and around the world are transforming. It will never be perfect, but it will be always be better and better as long as we all hold that outcome in our hearts and imaginations while acting to make the dreams a reality.
Have fun and enjoy watching some fabulous fireworks!
These are the perfect shoes to be worn with the wedding suit shown yesterday. Can you imagine a pair of white satin pumps at least 60 years old staying in this condition? Who knows how long they were out of the original owner’s safekeeping? Amazing!! I found these beautiful fabric shoes clean enough to be worn again as is.
Fun ’40’s/’50’s styling and beautiful leather soles that make them good forever. They also carry a mysterious story of a very special and formal occasion. I wonder where and when it was . . . . .
