Finding true vintage fashion items is not rocket science, but it does involve many bits and pieces of knowledge, skill and experience that come together to create great finds.  These tips and suggestions may sound simple and even boring, but  have made a BIG difference in my overall level of success.  Of course, there are many more details involved with each one, but the basic idea is where to begin –

Finders’ Clue #25:  Don’t be discouraged from buying something that you love because it has an odor.  Smells can be difficult but, in my experience, they can be eliminated.  One exception might be if your tolerance is EXTREMELY low or you have an allergy or illness – use your own judgement but don’t give up at the first whiff.
